The Christmas Gala hosted by the Ucluelet Chamber of Commerce and the Tofino Business Association raised over $18,000 in one amazing evening.
The Ucluelet Aquarium was not the only one getting a nice slice as a benificiary of the event. The Tonquin Foundation, the Food Bank and the Pacific Rim Visitors Centre also received part of the pie!

The Ucluelet Aquarium Society will be one of the beneficiaries at the 2008 Pacific Rim Christmas Gala at the Wickaninnish Centre in the Pacific Rim National Park. Join us for a night of great live music, food and beverages.
Unfreeze your wallet, forget the global economic meltdown for a night and come party with the people and animals from the world's greatest aquarium. Free bus transport leaving Tofino at 6:15, leaving Ucluelet at 6:30, and departing the Centre at midnight.

Our release party was a great success. Thanks to the staff, volunteers, and participants who helped release all the Aquarium's critters last Saturday.

As is tradition with the Ucluelet Aquarium, every animal is released back into the wild at the end of each operating year. If you are a fearless animal lover with a taste for crab pinches, slug slimings, paralyzing sea anemone stings*, and deadly snail attacks* please join us Saturday October 4 for our annual Specimen Release Party at the Aquarium.
Grab a bucket and follow us down Whiskey Dock to set the Aquarium's specimens free! The fun begins at 11:00 AM, so arrive early to choose your favourites.
